In the Smoky Mountains, we take our patriotism very seriously. The days we celebrate being American are not just excuses to have some fun, we honor our friends and families who are either currently serving or have served in the U.S. armed forces and we honor what it means to be American. Like it's flagship park, Dolly's Splash Country is no slouch in the quality family entertainment department, and as Dollywood grows every year, so too does Dolly's Splash Country - not that they have a lot of competition in public waterparks in the area right now, but why should that stop them from offering visitors more every year?

How many times have you started a vacation by checking in to your accommodations, and then arguing over who gets the bigger room? The one with the king-sized bed? When was the last time you heard, “Wow, that was a great vacation!” from your kids? Maybe when you finally relented and went to an overpriced amusement park? But that’s not very relaxing for you, and it probably didn’t give you much time to really connect as a family, away from all the bustle of your daily lives. Owning a pet comes with lots of benefits. As any die-hard dog lover will tell you, having a pet brings lots of laughter and joy to life. The unconditional love a dog displays when it sees you after even a short absence is worth the price of a thousand bags of dog food. Nose licks, happy yelps, and lots of tail wagging make even the worst day seem bright. But there are many other benefits of having a pet.  Studies have shown that having a dog or cat around can help lower stress, reduce blood pressure, ease pain, improve mood, help with socialization, and even improve immunity.

Today Pigeon Forge, which is still brimming with Appalachian history, is now a premier tourist destination. Approximately 10 million people are drawn to Pigeon Forge each year because of its many attractions and entertainment options.
